The idea for Shore Thing Tutoring came after speaking with many frustrated parents throughout the past few summers. What we found was that many families have had their vacations interrupted, while others constantly found themselves traveling back and forth between their shore houses and their primary homes just to meet with their child’s tutor. Most of these parents were frustrated because they couldn’t find a tutoring service down the shore to meet their child’s needs.
First and foremost, we want you to know that we take your child’s education very seriously. All of our tutors are certified teachers with at least five years teaching experience; most have far more. All of our teachers hold PA, NJ or DE teaching certificates, and some hold more than one. As we are all professionals in the field, we realize the importance of staying engaged during the summer months. That being said, we also understand the importance of allowing kids to unwind and enjoy themselves during the summer season. It is imperative that parents and educators find a balance between the necessities of refining the skills that are going to allow our kids to find success in their future endeavors while also allowing them time to simply be kids down the shore.
This is where we come in. We will help you customize a schedule in which our tutors will help your child hone the skills necessary for them to find maximum success in their upcoming school year. We will work diligently to make sure all of the hard work that your child put into their schooling does not dissipate over the summer months. We will work with you to develop a plan best suited to your child’s unique learning needs. We offer extremely flexible scheduling and we can curtail your child’s learning program in a variety of ways. We offer a wide range of specialized areas and we can focus your child’s program any way you see fit. Finally, our tutors will meet you and your child anywhere that is convenient for you. We cover all shore points in the South Jersey area from Ocean City to Wildwood Crest. We can come directly to your shore house or meet you at a library. We will even meet you at the beach! You just tell us a time and a place that works best for you and we will be there.
